Makoto Shinkai sets new record in film history with three consecutive films attracting more than 10 million viewers

Following the statistics of last weekend's movie-watching data, it was officially announced today, February 6, that the total number of viewers for Makoto Shinkai's latest animated film "The Journey of Belle" reached 10.09 million, with a total box office of 13.41535 billion yen, setting a new record and marking the third consecutive film with more than 10 million viewers.

The story of "Suzuya's Journey" is set in ruins across Japan. In order to close the "door" that is the source of disasters, Suzuya embarks on a fantasy journey.

Makoto Shinkai’s first two animated films, Your Name and Weathering with You, both had a total audience of over 10 million, and that’s just data from Japan.
