"Witch Guardian" author Kenta Shinohara: Weekly serialization will stop after the manga is completed

Japanese manga artist and author of the romantic comedy manga "Witch Watch: Witch Guardian" Kenta Shinohara recently revealed through the manga's official Twitter account that he will no longer serialize "Witch Watch" on a weekly basis after completing the currently serialized "Witch Guardian".

In the announcement, he said that even if he wanted to, his "body wouldn't allow" him to continue with the weekly series. He also added that due to the nature of the manga's plot, he doesn't know when the manga will end, but he hopes to continue as long as possible.

Kenta Shinohara began serializing "Witch Guardian" in Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump magazine in February 2021, and the 9th volume of the manga was published on January 4.
