'Wednesday' breaks Netflix record as most-watched series in a single week

The Addams Family live-action spinoff Wednesdays broke Netflix records, becoming the most watched show in a single week in Netflix history.

According to an official statement from Netflix, this popular TV series starring Jenna Ortega has been watched for an astonishing 341.2 million hours, even though it has only been online for a week.

If this data is not convincing enough, then you need to know that "Wednesday" even surpassed Netflix's ace series "Stranger Things" to reach the top.

“Wednesday currently holds the record for the most hours watched in a week for an English-language TV series on Netflix. Directed and executive produced by Tim Burton, with Al Gough and Miles Miller as producers, the series ranked number one in 83 countries, tied with Stranger Things 4.”

Stranger Things 4 recently broke the overall viewership record, with 1.15 billion hours watched in its first 28 days online. It remains to be seen whether Wednesday can surpass that number.
