The first season of The Witcher TV series doesn't tell all the stories in the first novel

Players who like the Witcher series of games may have been paying attention to the American TV series "The Witcher" which is about to be broadcast on Netflix. However, everyone has long known that the TV series "The Witcher" is actually adapted from the novel, not the game produced by CD Projekt Red. So, how much content will the first season of "The Witcher" TV series have? According to an interview, the first season does not tell the story of the first part of the novel.

Recently, foreign media interviewed the executive producer of the TV series "The Witcher" and asked how much of the content of the first novel "The Witcher" was included in the first season. The other party responded that although "The Witcher" used a lot of content from the original "The Witcher" first short story collection "The Last Wish", it did not tell all the stories in it.

Executive producer Tomek Bagiński revealed that in fact, the short story collection "The Last Wish" contains more content than the eight episodes of the first season of the TV series, and the producers are very careful in choosing which stories to tell. Because the TV series not only needs to choose the right story to tell the protagonist Geralt, but also to provide background for Yennefer and Ciri, and the TV series needs to shape these two important characters earlier.

The Witcher TV series will premiere on Netflix on December 20.
