•According to the survey, the scale of Japan's animation industry reached 2.74 trillion yen in 2021, an increase of 113% over 2020. Although the scale of the animation industry in 2020 fell for the first time in many years due to the impact of the epidemic, 2021 has significantly exceeded 2019 and continues to maintain a steady upward momentum.

•In terms of specific revenue items of the Japanese animation industry in 2021, the broadcasting market increased by 165.9% compared to 2020 to 154.3 billion yen, the merchandise peripheral market increased by 114% compared to the previous year to 663.1 billion yen, and the market outside of Japan increased by 106.0% compared to the previous year to 131.34 billion yen.

•Feedback from the animation production department shows that the number of production orders is still showing an increasing trend, and the number of planned works is still far greater than the number of works actually produced. The demand for animation in Japan over the years remains a strong support.
