Harry Potter actor responds to rumors he will play Wolverine: It's pure rumor

Daniel Radcliffe has been trying to get rid of his identity as the star of "Harry Potter". Although there have been rumors recently that he will play the new Wolverine in the new "X-Men", he has now clarified these rumors.

Daniel recently told GQ: "It's pure press tour rumours; I say something and then sometimes I get tired of giving the same answer so I say something different and it starts it all over again. I shouldn't have opened my mouth."

Playing a role that is too easily defined and recognizable is something he has always known is very difficult to get rid of, which is why he said that he "never wants to tie myself to something that I don't know if I can always keep the same passion for."

Earlier this year, while appearing on The View , co-host Ana Navarro asked him about rumors that he would play Wolverine next, but he denied it.

"It comes up a lot, and I think it's probably because Wolverine is short in the comics, so they always think, 'Who's the shorter actor?' There's never any factual basis behind it," he said on the ABC talk show.

"I'm tired of getting a definitive answer to this question, so I made a joke like I did the other day, which reignited the rumor, but that's not what actually happened."

What is certain is that Hugh Jackman will return to play Wolverine in Deadpool 3, which is expected to be released in November 2023.
