George RR Martin on The Winds of Winter: "I Wish It Would Come Sooner"

George RR Martin, the author of the fantasy novel "A Song of Ice and Fire", has been in a "difficult delivery" state since the release of the fifth volume "A Dance with Dragons" in July 2011. The sixth volume "The Winds of Winter" has been in a "difficult delivery" state.

Recently, George RR Martin was interviewed by the foreign media "Collider" and once again mentioned how eager he was to finish writing "The Winds of Winter".

In response, Ma said: "I have to finish these books. This is something I have complete control over. There are no budget constraints, I don't need to please other executives at the studio, and I don't need to please other writers with different opinions. These are the books I want to make. And, I think the book I'm writing is progressing pretty well, but I hope it can move faster."
