80-year-old Harrison Ford joins MCU to play General Ross

Today, foreign media "The Hollywood Reporter" confirmed that Harrison Ford, 80 years old this year, has joined the MCU and will replace William Hurt, who died in March this year, to play "General Ross". He will appear in "Captain America 4" to be released in May 2024 and "Thunderbolts" to be released in July 2024.

In the comics, he is the biggest enemy of the Hulk and a four-star general of the US military. He has always wanted to capture the Hulk incarnated by Bruce Banna. After his daughter Betty was murdered, Ross secretly used gamma rays to avenge the murderer, which led to his transformation into Red Hulk and declared war on all superheroes. In the end, it was Hulk who stepped forward and defeated him.

After realizing that he had made a big mistake, Ross joined the Avengers at the persuasion of Captain America, vowing to make up for his mistakes with the power of Red Hulk.

In "The Hulk" directed by Ang Lee in 2003, General Ross was played by Sam Elliot. General Ross, played by William Hurt, appeared in "The Incredible Hulk" in 2008, "Captain America 3" in 2016, "Avengers 3" in 2018, "Avengers 4" in 2019, and "Black Widow" in 2021.
