Maze Runner actor Jacob Lofland joins Joker 2 cast to play key Arkham character

According to Hollywood Reporter, rising star actor Jacob Lofland has been cast in a pivotal role in Joker: Big Psycho, the sequel to the Oscar-winning Joker starring Joaquin Phoenix and directed by Todd Phillips.

In addition to Jacob, the currently known cast includes Lady Gaga, Brendan Gleeson (Harry Potter) and Catherine Keener (Get Out).

In a key supporting role, Loveland will play an inmate at a mental hospital who develops a relationship with Arthur Fleck (The Joker).

Lofland made his feature film debut in the 2013 indie hit Mud, starring alongside Matthew McConaughey and Tye Sheridan, and also played the character Aris in the Maze Runner film series.

Warner Bros. plans to release Joker: Big Psycho on October 4, 2024.
