Ben Kingsley, famous actor of "Gandhi", will star in Marvel's "Wonder Man" series

It is reported that the famous British movie star Ben Kingsley will star in Marvel's latest series "Wonder Man" and will reprise his role as Trevor Slattery in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, who appeared in "Iron Man 3".

The show will center on superhero Simon "Wonder Man" Williams, who made his comic debut in Avengers #9 in 1964. After his industrialist father's company began to fail at the hands of rival Stark Industries, Simon was given the superpower Zemo by supervillain Baron and became a villain. He did not join the superhero team until Avengers #160.

According to Variety, Kingsley will play a major role, although the number of episodes he will appear in and plot details have not yet been revealed.

"Wonder Man" will be directed by Destin Daniel Cretton, the director of "Shang-Chi and the Ten Rings", and Andrew Guest, who participated in the production of the hit series "Brooklyn 99", will serve as the head writer.
