86-year-old Ray confirms he will be involved in the production of Alien: Taken: Revenge 2

Alien creator Ridley Scott has revealed that he is developing a new Alien movie at 20th Century Fox following the huge success of Alien: Reaper.

Last month, 20th Century Fox executives confirmed that Alien: Reaper will have a sequel, and the director, heroine and hero are expected to return. Therefore, the new Alien movie Ridley Scott mentioned is likely to be Alien: Reaper 2.

During the interview, Ridley also complained about not owning the "Alien" and "Blade Runner" film IPs for many years, which he attributed to the negligence of some former managers of the company.

"I should have kept those franchises in my hands like Spielberg did with Jurassic and James Cameron did with his. I revived the dead Alien franchise with Prometheus and Alien: Covenant, and we should have taken ownership back at that time, but we didn't because someone was careless."

Indeed, the Alien franchise has been a bit shaky since Scott first began directing the franchise in 1979. Alien 2, Alien 3, and Alien 4 were made without his involvement, though he has since been involved in more recent films like Prometheus, Alien: Covenant, and now Alien: Reaper.

"Alien: Revenge," produced by Scott, was released on August 12 this year, with a global box office of over $350 million, and will be officially released in VHS format.

According to the media, although Scott Free is not strictly a family business, Scott's 55-year-old son Luke Scott is based in the UK office, responsible for the company's advertising business and long-term strategy, and is also a director. Scott's 46-year-old daughter, director Jordan Scott, has directed the recent film adapted from Nicholas Hogg's psychological thriller "Sacrifice". And his 59-year-old son Jack Scott directed the 2021 documentary "Kipchoge: The Last Milestone".
