In addition to "Mission Impossible 8", Tom Cruise also wants to make a musical film

With "Top Gun 2" having grossed over $1.3 billion worldwide, becoming the 13th highest-grossing film in the world, the film's star Tom Cruise and producer Christopher McQuarrie have already begun working on three different film and television projects.

According to sources, one project is an original musical, another is an original action thriller with the potential to be developed into a series, and the last project is related to Les Grossman.

Les Grossman is the bald fat man played by Tom Cruise in Tropic Thunder. He is a film company veteran. It is not clear whether they will create a complete movie around Les Grossman or borrow him to star in other projects.

It is said that Tom Cruise has wanted to make a musical for a long time. He learned to sing and dance like a rock star in "Rock of Ages". All three scripts were written by Macaulay and Cruise.

Also looming is an untitled film Cruise plans to make with director Doug Liman and Macaulay that will be shot in outer space in partnership with NASA and Elon Musk's SpaceX.

In addition, "Mission Impossible 8" starring Tom Cruise is currently being filmed in the UK.
