Netflix's stop-motion animated film "Pinocchio" releases official Chinese subtitle trailer

Directed by Guillermo del Toro, the director of Pacific Rim, Netflix's stop-motion animated film Pinocchio has released its first official Chinese-subtitled trailer and will be launched in December this year.

The original work tells the story of an old carpenter and a Pinocchio puppet whose "nose grows when he lies". The Gyro version will have a "darker and twisted adaptation" and will be a musical.

The film features a luxurious cast including Cate Blanchett, Finn Wolfhard, Ewan McGregor, Tilda Swinton, Ron Perlman, Christoph Waltz, Tim Blake Nelson, David Bradley and others.

Oscar-winning director Guillermo del Toro reimagines the classic story of Pinocchio, who is magically brought to life to comfort the grieving carpenter Geppetto.
