Stephen Chow's Mermaid 2 is still in post-production four years after filming was completed

Lu Jun revealed that Stephen Chow has a lot of scripts in his hands, including "Kung Fu 2" and "Tai Chi", both of which have mature scripts. "Mermaid 2" was re-shot in 2021 and is currently in post-production.

In addition, Lu Jun also said that Stephen Chow does not care about his life at all, often eats at cheap restaurants when filming, has his own bicycle in Beijing, and often rides it. He also revealed that Stephen Chow really believes in aliens and once photographed a UFO over the sea at home, and the plot in "CJ7" came from this. The two believe that the female images in Stephen Chow's works are kind and pure, which is Stephen Chow's projection of his mother, sister, and younger sister.

"The Mermaid 2" started filming as early as 2018. On June 15, 2018, Lin Yun posted a photo with Stephen Chow on the social platform. In the photo, she was holding flowers and taking a wrap-up photo with Stephen Chow. She wrote, "The Mermaid 2 is wrapped up, from spring to summer, hello Shanshan, goodbye Shanshan."
