Rosamund Pike to star in Promising Young Girl's new film

Emerald Fennell has quickly become a sought-after director following the success of Promising Young Woman, and her second film Saltburn has already cast Rosamund Pike as the lead, which is set to start filming later this year.

Rosamund Pike's role in the Saltburn movie is unknown, but Deadline reports that the film will revolve around a British aristocratic family. Director Fennell has had similar life experiences, having played Camilla Parker Bowles in The Crown.

Two years ago, Fennell made a name for herself with her first feature film as a director, Promising Young Woman, which made it to the Oscars, where she was nominated for five major awards: Best Picture, Best Director, Best Original Screenplay, Best Actress and Best Editing.
