The director of the live-action movie of "Macross" is confirmed to be "Eagle Eye" director Reis

According to foreign media reports, the Hollywood live-action film "Robotech", which is adapted from the classic anime "Macross", officially announced that the director has been confirmed. It will be directed by Rhys Thomas, who once co-directed the Marvel American TV series "Hawkeye". Stay tuned.

•ROBOTECH is an animation series introduced from Golden Harmony Company in the United States and Dragon Sons Company in Japan in the 1980s. It re-edited and re-produced the dialogues of three Japanese animations and combined them into a series of episodes sufficient for daily television syndication.

The story tells that Earth has developed a giant robot technology from an alien spaceship that crashed on a small island in the South Pacific. Humanity has to use this technology to resist three waves of consecutive alien invasions. In the first invasion, humans fight against alien giants who are trying to recapture the energy source called "prehistoric culture" on the flagship, and the survival of the Earth ultimately depends on the hands of two young pilots.
