Johnny Depp: I've never seen 'Pirates of the Caribbean'

On April 19, local time, Johnny Depp's lawsuit against his ex-wife Amber Heard continued in Virginia, USA. In addition to repeating his previous domestic violence allegations, Depp said in the witness stand that he had never watched "Pirates of the Caribbean". In addition, Depp also said that he would not cooperate with Disney on "Pirates of the Caribbean" movies again.

When asked in court how the 2003 "Pirates of the Caribbean" fundamentally changed his fate, he actually replied: "Well, I've never seen this series of movies... But I believe that the movie has performed well at the box office. If they (Disney) want to keep making it, I'm happy to do it."

Depp said that when he first saw the script, he thought it was just an ordinary Disney movie with a predictable three-act structure. "I had different ideas for the character, so I incorporated these ideas into my performance and made the character come alive. But Disney was quite annoyed at first."

"In the end it worked, I did my job well, the character is like Bugs Bunny, it's accepted by people aged 5, 45, 65 and 85."

Depp said, "Captain Jack can do things that I can't do, he can say things that I would never say. So for me, this is a way to expand the character and take risks."

After talking about "Pirates of the Caribbean", Depp returned to the core of the lawsuit. He insisted that Heard not only often insulted him verbally, but also abused him many times. In 2015, he hit him with a bottle, causing his finger to be cut off. He also accused Heard of "shitting" on his bed in revenge after an argument. But Depp said that he never fought back.

In order to prove that his ex-wife was abusive to him, Depp described his mother as a very bad person and believed that his ex-wife had similarities with his mother.

Depp recalled that his mother had abused his father. Although he felt that his marriage was unhappy, he maintained his relationship with Heard because his father was also trying to maintain his marriage with his mother.

Depp believed that her mother was a violent person who treated her children and husband violently and was good at psychologically neglecting her family. So one day her father quietly packed his bags and left home without a word.

The departure of his father made his mother particularly sad. Depp also witnessed his mother being taken to the hospital by ambulance after attempting suicide by taking pills.

Depp's sister confirmed Depp's childhood stories and mentioned that like Depp, his father did not fight back against his wife. However, a commentary article in the New York Post believes that this is all Depp's routine to win public sympathy.

Heard denied Depp's accusations. In the next few days, Heard will sit in the witness stand and more melons will be revealed.
