The classic American TV series "Knight Rider" is returning to the big screen! Produced by James Wan

According to foreign media reports recently, the classic American science fiction TV series "Knight Rider" that was popular in the United States in the 1980s and introduced to the mainland has finally been noticed by Hollywood again and will return to produce a new movie. The new version of the "Knight Rider" movie project has made new progress. It has been confirmed that it will be jointly produced by "Atomic Monster" Film and Television Company and "Telescope Media" of James Wan, the director of "Fast and Furious 7" and "Aquaman". James Wan will serve as the producer of the film.

"Knight Rider" was first launched in 1982, starring David Hasselhoff. He played the protagonist named Mike Knight. After he was shot, he decided to stand up and punish evil. He cooperated with a self-made millionaire to develop the smart car KITT, and began his "superhero" journey.

This smart car, called "Kit", has a series of special features, the most prominent of which is fireproof and bulletproof, has artificial intelligence and can speak human language, and has strong power and can run at 300 miles per hour. Although these features do not seem to be very black technology now, they were already a good novel concept at the time. "Knight Rider" was filmed for four seasons and also derived related works. This theme was remade into a new American TV series in 2008, but it only lasted for one season. There was also a lot of discussion about the new series project, but it did not take shape.

The movie version of "Thunderbolt" has been in the planning for a long time. Many famous directors have been contacted, including James Gunn, the director of "Guardians of the Galaxy", and Justin Lin, the director of many "Fast & Furious" films, but no agreement was reached. This time, James Wan was approached. Although James Wan is best known for the horror film series, his "Fast & Furious 7" was also well received. It is obvious that he is also a director who understands "car romance". Unfortunately, he is too busy and has blockbuster projects such as "Aquaman 2" on hand. Therefore, he probably cannot serve as the director himself, and the director of the film is still being screened.

The film's screenwriter has been confirmed to be TJ Fixman, a game screenwriter whose representative works include "Ratchet & Clank" and "Resistance: Fall of Humanity".
