The 25th Tezuka Osamu Cultural Award was announced, and Demon Slayer won the Special Award

The 25th Tezuka Osamu Cultural Award, named after the God of Manga Osamu Tezuka and hosted by Japan's Asahi Shimbun, is a cultural award dedicated to strictly selecting works by outstanding figures in the Japanese manga industry. The final results of the award were announced today, April 28. The grand prize was won by Yamashita Kazumi's LAND, and the super popular manga Demon Slayer won a special prize.

The Tezuka Osamu Cultural Award is a manga cultural award in memory of the Japanese and even the world's manga master, Mr. Osamu Tezuka. It is hosted by the Asahi Shimbun and was first held in 1997. This year is the 25th. The award aims to discover the best talents and works of the new generation of Japanese manga. It is recognized as the highest level award in the Japanese manga industry. The first winner was Doraemon.
