The second season of the anime "Ghost in the Shell SAC_2045" is confirmed to be released this year

A promotional poster at the AnimeJapan 2023 anime expo today revealed that the "Ghost in the Shell SAC_2045" animation will have a theatrical version project this year. According to the staff's later announcement, the tentatively named "Ghost in the Shell SAC_2045 The Movie Pt.2" will be a compilation of the second season of the animation. The first season of Ghost in the Shell SAC_2045 premiered worldwide on Netflix in April 2020, with a total of 12 episodes. The first season's compilation movie Ghost in the Shell SAC_2045: Sustainable War was released in Japan in November 2021 and will be available on Netflix in May 2022. The second season of the anime will also be aired in May 2022. Production IG and Sola Digital Arts produced the animation, with Kenji Kamiyama and Shinji Aramaki as supervisors. Russian original artist Ilya Kuvshinov was responsible for the character design. |
