Garfield talks about The Amazing Spider-Man 3: No one believes me now

The Amazing Spider-Man star Garfield is deliberately avoiding questions about The Amazing Spider-Man 3 because he knows no one believes him.

In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, the 38-year-old former Spider-Man star was asked if he would return for The Amazing Spider-Man 3. He said: "I don't have anything to say here. No one believes what I say anymore. That's my problem."

In Spider-Man 3, the first big-screen Spider-Man, Tobey Maguire, and the actor Garfield from The Amazing Spider-Man returned, forming a trio of spiders in the same frame. Garfield's return was so well received that the Amazing Spider-Man 3 and the hashtag "Making The Amazing Spider-Man 3" became hot trends on Twitter.

In order to avoid spoilers, Garfield repeatedly denied to foreign media that he had played in Spider-Man 3: No Return, and even lied to his ex-girlfriend Emma Stone.

Spider-Man star Tom Holland also said he would love to see Garfield return in The Amazing Spider-Man.

Holland said: "I really want to see The Amazing Spider-Man 3. I think the best thing is that Garfield can make up for the mistakes he made with this character and the studio and win back the audience."

Garfield originally starred in The Amazing Spider-Man films alongside Emma Stone, but his time as Spider-Man was significantly cut short when the sequels flopped at the box office.
