Holland talks about the future of the Spider-Man series and says nothing is certain at the moment

The huge box office success of Spider-Man: No Home has given rise to a lot of speculation that Tom Holland should continue to play the series. This is possible, but not certain. Holland himself said in an interview recently that talks about the "future possibilities" of the series have begun.

But he also said: "We are still in the talks stage and we don't know what the future will be like."

Prior to this, producer Amy Pascal had stated very bluntly that Holland would star in three more Spider-Man movies. She said in November 2021: "We are already preparing to make the next Spider-Man movie with Tom Holland and Marvel. Now we have a trilogy, and there will be another trilogy next. This will not be my last MCU movie series."

At this stage, Kevin Feige and Sony Pictures boss Tom Rothman have both stated that they are "considering doing something else", but Holland's attitude is very interesting.

Spider-Man: No Homecoming has grossed $1.738 billion worldwide. Holland's new film Uncharted is about to be released.
