Lucy Liu to star in Stephen King novel adaptation "Later"

According to foreign media Deadline, Lucy Liu will star in a new drama "Later" adapted from Stephen King's novel. This limited series is produced by Blumhouse TV and Raelle Tucker ("True Blood") will serve as the operator.

The novel "Later" was published in March last year. It tells the story of Tia, the owner of a literary agency, who raises her son Jamie alone. Tia's star writer client suddenly dies on the eve of completing a best-selling new work, and her career is also facing a crisis. At this time, a special opportunity is presented to her - Jamie has a strange ability to talk to the dead, and all the dead will tell him the truth.

So, Jamie talks to the dead writer and gives his mother feedback on what he was going to write, and then Tia writes it and publishes it under the name of the writer. This operation is successful, but this ability can be used for more evil things... At this time, Tia's girlfriend, a police officer, discovers Jamie's superpowers, and soon, the boy falls into his own spiritual world, just like Danny Torrance in "The Shining".
