Denzel Washington: My next movie is The Equalizer 3

Recently, Oscar winner Denzel Washington revealed in an interview with foreign media that he will star in the action film "The Equalizer 3". The script has been completed and he has begun training for the fighting scenes.

Washington said: "They have finished writing the script for "The Equalizer 3", and I also need to make time to start working on my body and fighting skills, and I'm going to start beating people up again." It is reported that Antoine Fuqua, the director of the first two episodes, is currently filming "Freeing the Black Slaves" with Will Smith, and is also discussing directing "The Equalizer 3" again.

In 2014, The Equalizer was made with an investment of $55 million and grossed $192 million worldwide, making a small profit. In 2018, The Equalizer 2 was made with an investment of $62 million and grossed $190 million worldwide, still making a profit; thus, it was only natural for the third film to start filming.

The Equalizer was originally a crime series that aired on CBS in the United States from 1985 to 1989. The protagonist is a private detective, a seasoned former government agent who fights against loopholes and errors in the legal system in order to make up for past mistakes. In addition to the two versions of Denzel Washington's movies, CBS also filmed a female-led series of The Equalizer in 2021.
