"Ghost of Tsushima" was announced earlier this year to be adapted into a live-action film to be directed by "John Wick" director Chad Stahelski. Recently, the director said in an interview that he would work hard to ensure the quality of the film. In an exclusive interview with IGN at the red carpet premiere of The Matrix Reboot, Chad Stahelski said he already knew that most of the game-adapted movies failed to satisfy the fans of the game because the filmmakers did not deeply understand the original work. In the Ghost of Tsushima movie, he hopes to do everything he can to ensure that the movie is perfect by working with the Sucker Punch team and PlayStation to avoid making the same mistakes that other filmmakers have made. "I just want to do it right, and you know how things are with game adaptations," Stahelski said. "So we're taking our time to do it right. We're working closely with the game developers to make sure we stay true to the classics." For this live-action film, Sucker Punch team representative Peter Kang will be responsible for overseeing the project as an executive producer. Stahelski said that the film is still in the writing stage and the cast has not yet been determined. Stahelski also added that he entered the project because he often plays the game "Ghost of Tsushima". |
