007 film producer says he doesn't want a female Bond

With Daniel Craig stepping down as 007 after No Time to Die, the search for the next Bond has begun. In a recent interview, 007 film producer Barbara Broccoli seemed to rule out the possibility of an actress playing the role, saying she did not want a female Bond.

In an interview with foreign media The Hollywood Reporter, famous 007 producer Barbara Broccoli explained why there was no female James Bond joining the 007 series of films after "No Time to Die".

Barbara Broccoli explained: " I thought [James Bond] would be a man because I didn't think a woman should play James Bond. I believed we needed to create roles for women, not just have women playing male roles. I didn't think there were enough great roles for women, and it was very important to me that we make films for women, about women. "

Barbara Broccoli's words are also consistent with Daniel Craig's previous views on the matter. Daniel Craig said in September this year: " Actresses and actors of color should have better roles. Why should a woman play James Bond instead of creating a female character who is as good as Bond? "

Barbara Broccoli also said earlier that James Bond will return and the protagonist of the future 007 series will still be James Bond. Currently, the casting of the new Bond has not yet begun, but the protagonist of the "007" series is still James Bond, and this character will definitely return to the series in some form in the future.
