Inspector Hill and Director of SHIELD Return in Marvel's Secret Invasion

Canadian actress Cobie Smulders will return to the Marvel Disney+ series "Secret Invasion" with Samuel L. Jackson, continuing to play Inspector Hill and Director Nick Fury of SHIELD. The series is scheduled to be launched in 2022.

Smulders has appeared in multiple Marvel Cinematic Universe films, first appearing in The Avengers and later in Spider-Man: Far From Home, Avengers: Age of Ultron, Avengers 3, Avengers 4, Captain America: The Winter Soldier, and the Marvel Avengers: Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. series.

In addition to Smulders and Samuel L. Jackson, a slew of other high-profile actors have joined the cast of the series, with Ben Mendelsohn returning as the Skrull leader, Talos (who has appeared in Captain Marvel and Spider-Man: Far From Home), and Kingsley Ben-Adir, who plays one of the series' main villains.

The Secret Invasion series tells the story of a group of shape-shifting Skrulls sneaking into Earth and infiltrating all levels of humanity. In October this year, Samuel Jackson told fans on his personal Instagram that the series has started filming.
