Uncle Cage joins the monster movie "Rainfield" to play Dracula

According to foreign media IGN, Nicolas Cage has joined Universal Pictures' new monster film Renfield to play the vampire Dracula. Previously, the official has confirmed that Nicholas Hoult will play the protagonist Renfield.

In Bram Stoker's original novel Dracula, Redfield is an inmate of a mental hospital who is believed to suffer from delusions, but in fact he is Dracula's servant. The character has appeared in many movies, including Coppola's 1992 film Bram Stoker's Dracula, in which Tom Waits plays Redfield.

Rainfield is set in modern times, directed by Chris McKay and written by Ryan Ridley. This is the second time Cage and Hoult have teamed up, having previously worked together on The Weatherman.
