This week, Tom Cruise was filmed on the set of Mission: Impossible 8 performing high-risk stunts while sitting upright, hanging upside down and climbing on a plane at an altitude of 2,000 feet. Cruise climbed out of the cockpit of the yellow 1941 Boeing Stearman 75 biplane fighter plane after it took off from Duxford Airport in Cambridgeshire, England, and clung to the wings as the plane performed dives and other aerial maneuvers. Cruise was strapped to the plane by a seatbelt, according to foreign media reports. Mission: Impossible 7 and 8 were filmed back-to-back, with Tom Cruise jumping into the production of Mission: Impossible 8 right after finishing Mission: Impossible 7. According to reports earlier this year, Cruise practiced for a year to prepare for a stunt in Mission: Impossible 7, completing 13,000 stunt motorcycle jumps and 500 BASE jumps from airplanes. Currently, "Mission: Impossible 7" is scheduled to be released in North America on September 30, 2022, and "Mission: Impossible 8" will be released in North America on July 7, 2023. |
