The animation masterpiece "Magic Book 4K Commemorative Edition" has been restored and given a brand new look

Today (October 29), the restoration special of the classic animated film "The Magic Book 4K Commemorative Edition" was released, and national pre-sales have officially started. The film will be released nationwide on November 5.

Restoration Special:

The special edition reviews the creative process of the older generation of animation artists, from pencil drafts, tracing, coloring by number, foreground and background fitting to camera shooting. Each shot requires dozens of sheets of paper, and thousands of shots require tens of thousands of sheets of paper. The older generation of animation artists still rely on patience and perseverance to complete the outline stroke by stroke. The film has now undergone digital restoration and looks brand new, which is not only a protection of the national treasure, but also a tribute to the older generation of artists.

"The Legend of Heaven and Earth" is an animated feature film produced by Shanghai Animation Film Studio in 1983. The story is adapted from some chapters of "The Legend of Ping Yao". This animation is a benchmark in the industry. It represented the top level of Chinese animation at that time, and it is still not outdated now. The version released this time is a 4K restoration commemorative edition. The entire restoration process was long and arduous, and even the voice actors from nearly 40 years ago were found to re-record (although the original version was finally used).
