To commemorate the 25th anniversary of the "Yu-Gi-Oh!" animation series, the official Yu-Gi-Oh animation announced that the 20th anniversary HD re-edited version of "Yu-Gi-Oh! GX" will be broadcast on Tokyo TV on April 11th, Beijing time. Thereafter, one episode will be broadcast every Friday at 1:23 am, and will be updated to the streaming media at 19:00 every Sunday.

"Yu-Gi-Oh! GX" is the sequel to "Yu-Gi-Oh! DM". It was originally broadcast on Japan's Tokyo TV on October 6, 2004, with a total of 180 episodes. The work revolves around the world view eight to ten years after the end of the first "Yu-Gi-Oh!" story. Some characters from the previous work will also appear, and some basic settings are also brand new. The card duel method is mainly fusion. It tells a series of stories about Yuki Judai signing up for the Duel Academy exam and studying and living in the academy.
