The sci-fi action comedy "Player" will be released in IMAX 3D format in more than 720 IMAX theaters across the country on Friday, August 27. IMAX today released the film's China-exclusive art poster, with a unique hand-painted style that is refreshing. The poster is based on a corner of the game world "Free City" in the film, and the imaginative elements such as fighter jets, large iron balls, and turrets remind the audience that "Player" will be a magical journey beyond the dimension. It is worth mentioning that the three main characters are also lurking as "easter eggs" in it, inviting the audience to identify the "cover" with their wisdom and walk into the IMAX theater to discover more surprises. In the film, "Guy", a bank teller played by "Deadpool" Ryan Reynolds, originally lived an orderly life, but unexpectedly discovered that he was an NPC (non-player character) in an open video game. So he decided to break free from the control of the game mode, rewrite his own story, and become the "superhero" of the game world. The film is directed by Shawn Levy, the director of the "Night at the Museum" series, and stars Ryan Reynolds. It also stars Emmy Award winner Jodie Comer, Academy Award winner Taika Waititi, and other popular stars, including "Captain America" Chris Evans and "Wolverine" Hugh Jackman. The film received rave reviews after its first overseas release, with both general audiences and professional media giving it high praise. On the authoritative film review website Rotten Tomatoes, the popcorn index, which reflects audience word of mouth, was as high as 95%, and the authoritative audience research organization CinemaScore also gave it an A-level rating. |
