The live-action movie of the famous American comic book "Spawn" was originally planned to be directed and written by Todd McFarlane, the original author of the comic book of the same name, and was scheduled to be released in 2019. However, it has actually been postponed indefinitely. According to recent foreign media reports, the authorities have planned to restart the project and have found a new screenwriter to write a new script. Todd McFarland Al Simmons, a former member of the CIA secret operations team, was betrayed twice: he was killed by his companions and his body was set on fire. He was plotted again in hell. In order to reunite with his wife, he accepted to become a Hellborn warrior, but found himself trapped in the body of this demon species, and his wife had married his best friend before his death. Simmons has since become an angry anti-hero, waging a war between good and evil on earth, heaven, and hell, sweeping away the scum in the city. Another protagonist, a good policeman, is surrounded by a group of corrupt policemen and eventually cooperates with Spawn. Jamie Foxx was originally scheduled to play Spawn, and Jeremy Renner was to play a good partner and a good policeman. However, the film was not completed and released as scheduled. The indefinite postponement disappointed many fans. However, good news came recently that the film has been restarted. Brian Tucker, who was previously the screenwriter for Broken City, was invited to write the new live-action Spawn movie. McFarlane will continue to serve as co-producer and director.
