Anna K is a lavish and contemporary drama based on Leo Tolstoy’s classic novel Anna Karenina, one of the world’s most famous novels. Set in modern Russia, the series follows Anna Karenina, a socialite who is about to become the wife of the Governor of St. Petersburg, as she embarks on a life-changing love story with Vronsky, the heir to an aluminum empire. Their romance spirals out of control, threatening the delicate balance of their family and social relationships. Set between cosmopolitan Moscow, historic St. Petersburg and the rugged Russian countryside, the series explores passion, loyalty and the irrefutable truth that no amount of wealth can save us from the power of love, which can set us free or lead us to destruction. Anna K is produced by 1-2-3 Production and the series is set to be released at an unknown date.
