The HBO TV series "The Last of Us" is currently being filmed in Canada. According to Canadian media CTV News, this TV series is a big production, costing more than hundreds of millions of dollars, with each episode costing more than eight figures.

Damian Petti, president of IATSE 212, a local labor union in Fort Macleod, Canada, said in an interview: "The TV version of "The Last of Us" has five art directors and employs hundreds of technicians. It has been six months of preparation for shooting and is expected to take 12 months." Damian Petti could not say for sure the budget of the TV series, but it is rumored to be in the hundreds of millions of dollars.

"I can't confirm the official budget figures but will say this is likely the largest television production in Canada," he wrote in an email to CTV News. "The budget per episode is well over eight figures so the impact on our economy is multiplier. There are hundreds of businesses benefiting from the massive amount of jobs."
