Henry Cavill reveals his nerdy nature again as he talks about Warhammer during the filming of The Witcher

Henry Cavill, who plays Superman in the new DC movie series and Geralt in Netflix's The Witcher TV series, can be said to be the most "homely" of Hollywood's popular movie stars. After being selected to play Geralt in The Witcher TV series, he said in an interview that he likes to play games very much. In addition to The Witcher 3, he also likes to play Overwatch, World of Warcraft and Total War: Warhammer 2.

He also previously released a video of himself assembling a PC.

Henry not only loves playing games, he is also a fan of the Warhammer series. He not only likes to play Total War: Warhammer 2, but also paints Warhammer models by himself.

The second season of The Witcher is about to be released. At the WitcherCon held by CDPR last week, Henry revealed in an interview that he kept talking about Warhammer with others on the set.

“There’s something I’ve been dying to say," he told the interviewer. "I’m sorry, it’s totally - I just - every day on set, on this set, I grit my teeth because no one knows what I’m about to tell you.”

“That chandelier looks like a Blackstone fortress,” he continued, pointing to the massive Gothic-style light fixture hanging from the ceiling. “I knew no one on set would understand, so I kept bringing it up to people… I don’t know if that was the inspiration for the props team, but that thing looks like a Blackstone fortress.”

In Warhammer, the Blackstone Fortress is a massive warship discovered in the 33rd Millennium, and a devastating weapon of mass destruction. It was not until the Gothic War that Abaddon the Despoiler reawakened the full power of these weapons. Both the Imperium of Man and the forces of Chaos possess the Blackstone Fortress.

The second season of The Witcher TV series will be released on Netflix on December 17.
