"Game of Thrones" director directed the first episode of "Blade Runner 2099" and received four Emmy nominations

Variety reported today (March 15) that Jeremy Podeswa, a well-known director who has been nominated for four Emmy Awards (representative works include "Game of Thrones" and "Boardwalk Empire"), will direct and executive produce the first episode of "Blade Runner 2099", the live-action sequel to "Blade Runner 2049".

It is reported that Silka Louise will serve as the producer of the series project, with screenwriters including Tom Spizzaley (The Leftovers) and Blade Runner director Ridley Scott as executive producers.

Blade Runner 2099 is adapted from the 1982 sci-fi The classic film will continue to expand the universe first created by Ridley Scott in "Blade Runner." Starring Harrison Ford as "Blade Runner" Deckard, the film tells the story of a man struggling to hunt down a group of deadly replicants while facing questions about his own humanity.
