His trademark is his red military uniform and a mask that hides his face, but he has a habit of getting naked at any moment. ・Lalah He is the straight man for Char. Today, his colorful and endearing (?) tsukkomi shines through. Don't mention the mole on his forehead. ・Amuro He is a well-known Gundam pilot, and his high Newtype abilities are put to full use for the delusions and erotic desires of adolescence. ・Seira She is Char's younger sister and an aspiring doctor. She sometimes examines the crew of the White Base, but because the patients are a bit strange, she mostly just verbally abuses them. Frau Childhood friend of Amuro. Ever since he boarded the White Base, he has been feeling uneasy about Amuro, who has become increasingly distant from him in many ways. Kai A supporting character who pilots a Guncannon. He's a nihilistic and cynical character, but whenever he appears he's almost always insulted by Sayla as a "weakling." Bright The young captain of the White Base. With Amuro at the head of the crew, he is constantly struggling with his unique personalities. He seems to be the most sensible person, but...? ・Haro Man A pet robot given to Frau by Amuro. Its arms and legs can be stored inside the body, and it can hold simple conversations and measure brainwave levels... or so it was supposed to be. ・Comet chick A red guy from Chick Village. Although he's cute, he's also skilled at setting traps and handling drugs, and is plotting to get rid of Char. ・ Bitter Sayla Apparently it's bitter when you bite into it. Cute and endearing. ・Baikinshaa There's a tiny thing between Char's molars. It's enjoying life in his mouth. Garma The youngest son of the Zabi family. He was in the same class as Char at the military academy, and is always being schemed, plotted, and measured against him. A poor man who is always being fooled. ・Kikka-chan Katsu, Letz, and Kikka's Katsu and Letz are not included. They are like mascots and are familiar to the White Base crew. They are cute. ・Arty Pyo She is the younger sister of Comet Chick, who followed her brother from Chick Village. She cries a lot at every opportunity. ・Kycilia-tan Ten years before the main story, Kycilia is a shy 14-year-old who is troubled by her insensitive father, Dekin. ・Degin The most powerful man in the Principality of Zeon. He lacks tact and is often scolded by his daughter, Kycilia. ・Poop Share A dandy poop. Every time it appears, it leaves behind meaningful words. ・Dren A former adjutant who gets just as naked as Char. His incomprehensible and overconfident beliefs cause trouble for his subordinates. Hayato A supporting character who pilots the Guntank. He tends to be overshadowed by Amuro, but when he receives treatment from Sayla, he really shows his presence. ■Subtitle・Episode 1/I Like Red Episode 2: Amuro in his teenage years Episode 3: Haro Man's Melancholy ・Episode 4/Encounter Episode 5: The Threat of Comet Chicks Episode 6: Doctor Sarah's Advice Room Episode 7: I love the fallen Episode 8: Delusional Amuro Episode 9: Fated Showdown Episode 10: Lalah goes on the offensive Episode 11: The Feelings of a Mobile Suit ・Episode 12/Kycilia-chan is 14 years old ・Episode 13/I like people with moles ■ Theme songs and music・ED1 ・Gundam-san Ondo 1 to 13 ・Lyrics by Hideki Owada ・Composer: Seiji Muto Arrangement: Seiji Muto ・Songs: Katsuyuki Konishi, Tsubasa Taonaga, Ryotaro Okiayu, Kazuyuki Okitsu Gundam-san - Gundam-san - Review"Gundam-san" is a short anime that aired in 2014, originally based on a hugely popular comic that parodies "Mobile Suit Gundam." There are 13 episodes in total, each lasting just five minutes, and the characters from the Gundam series are depicted in a comical way. It was broadcast on BS11 and TOKYO MX, and was also streamed online on the Bandai Channel. The biggest appeal of this anime is that the characters in the Gundam series show a completely different side to them. For example, Char, known as the "Red Comet," is depicted in this anime as a comedic character who, despite his trademark red uniform and mask, has a habit of getting naked at any moment. Also, Amuro is known as a Gundam pilot, but in this humorous setting, he makes full use of his Newtype abilities to fulfill his adolescent fantasies and erotic desires. Although the story is set in the Gundam world, it is free of such heavy themes as the One Year War and the Newtype revolution, and instead features characters running wild. Each episode has a different theme, and you can probably guess what it's about from the title, such as "I Like Red" or "Adolescent Amuro." Particularly memorable episodes include "The Threat of Comet Chicks" and "Doctor Sayla's Advice Room." These episodes bring out the characters' personalities to the fullest, evoking laughter and empathy. The cast is also impressive, with the voice actors, such as Katsuyuki Konishi as Char and Tsubasa Yonaga as Amuro, bringing out the individuality of each character. Narrator Toru Furuya also has a strong presence. Furuya is known for playing the role of Amuro Ray in Mobile Suit Gundam, so just hearing his voice will be a delight for fans. The main staff members are also not to be missed. Mankyu, who directed and wrote the script, succeeded in bringing out the charm of the original work to the fullest. Character design by Tamato Sao also faithfully reproduces the atmosphere of the original work while adding a unique charm to the anime. Animation production was supported by Gathering, and planning and production were handled by Sunrise, and you can feel Sunrise's love for the Gundam series. Don't miss the theme song. The ending theme, "Gundam-san Ondo," is sung by a gorgeous cast of Katsuyuki Konishi, Tsubasa Yonaga, Ryutaro Okiayu, and Kazuyuki Okitsu, and the song itself fits perfectly with the atmosphere of the anime. The lyrics are by Hideki Owada, and the music and arrangement are by Seiji Muto. The lyrics and melody are very catchy, making it a song you'll want to listen to over and over again. "Gundam-san" is a work that can be recommended not only to fans of the Gundam series, but also to those who like anime and parodies. In a short time, you can see a new side of the characters and feel laughter and empathy. Please give it a watch.
