■ Main Characters

A dandy alien hunter. Age unknown, probably early 20s. A human male. A silly and cheerful guy. Doesn't care about small things. Doesn't care about non-small things either. His dream is to visit all the boobies in the world.
・QT
A vacuum cleaner robot. He claims to be a high-performance robot, but in reality, it's a piece of junk. He's earnest and a little proud. He likes keeping things clean.
・Myaubonkura alien. You'd think he was an evolved cat, but he's actually a Petelgeuse alien, not a cat. He's so laid back he seems to have been brought up in a relaxed education system. He's always playing with his cell phone.
・Dr. Gel A genius scientist who pursues Dandy. He follows Perry, the ruler of the Gogol Empire. He is also said to be an inventor, but his true identity is shrouded in mystery.
・Assistant to Dr. Biegel. Helicobacter pylori. Looks like a cucumber but is very competent.
Honey is a waitress at "Booby's." She's a silly gal with a nice body at the restaurant.
Scarlett is a beautiful inspector at the Alien Registration Center. Her inspections are very strict, and the aliens Dandy brings in are rarely approved.

story

In Season 2, Dandy and his friends continue their journey to find new aliens. Each episode has a different theme and setting, so viewers won't get bored. Particularly memorable are episodes in which Dandy ponders the meaning of his own existence and friendship. For example, in "EPISODE 21: It's a World Without Sadness," there is a moving scene in which Dandy faces a world that has lost its emotions and reaffirms the importance of emotions. Also, in "EPISODE 26: It's Neverending Dandy," the ending shows that Dandy's adventure is not over, leaving a strong impression on viewers.

character

The characters of Dandy, QT, and Meow (including the robot) remain consistently charming in Season 2. Dandy's cheerfulness and recklessness, QT's seriousness and clumsiness, and Meow's laid-back personality are portrayed with an exquisite balance. Sub-characters such as Dr. Gel and Bee also add depth to the story. In particular, don't miss the mysterious background of Dr. Gel and the scenes where Bee's competence shines. Furthermore, female characters such as Honey and Scarlett also play important roles in coloring Dandy's adventures.

music

The music of Space Dandy has also been highly praised in Season 2. The opening theme, "Viva Namida," features Yasuyuki Okamura's distinctive singing voice and impressive rhythm, instantly raising the excitement of the viewers. A different artist is in charge of the ending theme for each episode, allowing viewers to enjoy a wide variety of musicality. "Welcome to the X-Dimension" and "Space Dandy" in particular help to liven up the atmosphere of the show. The insert songs are also selected to match the theme of each episode, and there are many moving scenes where the story and music come together.

visual

Bones' animation production maintains its quality in season 2. The vastness of the universe and the unique landscapes of each planet are beautifully depicted, making for a visually appealing show. In particular, the design of Dandy's spaceship, the Aloha Oe, and the visuals of the aliens in each episode stimulate the viewer's imagination. The character designs are also unique, with attention to detail in Dandy's Hawaiian shirt and QT's design as a vacuum cleaner robot.
