Stranger Things Season 4 to be filmed in New Mexico

According to Deadline, Netflix has confirmed to them that "a large portion" of the fourth season of "Stranger Things" will be filmed in New Mexico, while the first three seasons were filmed in Atlanta, Georgia, USA.

Netflix executive Momita SenGupta said: "Season 4 will be bigger, bolder and more complex than ever before, and this is the first time the show will be filmed outside of Atlanta."

The fourth season will be filmed at Netflix's new Albuquerque studio, which Netflix bought in 2018. At the time, Netflix said it would spend $1 billion on local productions by 2028, so that's why Netflix chose to film the fourth season of "Stranger Things" here.

In addition to New Mexico, some scenes for Season 4 were filmed in Vilnius, the capital of Lithuania.
