■ Story

In the year 19XX, the military planet Death Mask, floating in Earth's orbit, suddenly splits into two pieces and begins to fall. The two pieces transform Kujukuri City, Chiba, and Dallas City, USA, into huge craters. Time passes and in the year 20XX, Time Patrolman Tanbara Gai is assigned to travel 10,000 years into the future to investigate the Death Mask crash. He travels in the time machine to a place 10,000 years in the future where two races are in the middle of a conflict. There, Gai meets a girl named Emiya who is being chased by a guard.

■Explanation

This was produced as the sixth special anime for "24 Hour TV." The original manga was serialized in Weekly Shonen Champion from July 1982 to June 1983, but it was not completed when the project was first proposed, so a new synopsis was written. For this reason, this TV anime is unusual in that it is more faithful to Tezuka Osamu's original idea.
