story

Tora-san, born and raised in Shibamata, Katsushika, devotes himself to the business of traveling from one place to another as a street vendor. He meets a beautiful singer named Lily on a night train and ends up in Abashiri, Hokkaido, where he begins working as a live-in employee on a farm. However, unable to bear the hard work, he returns to his family's home, Toraya. Then, Lily comes to visit Shibamata, and so a new development awaits.
