■ Story

In Bida World, the culture of worshiping spheres has been deeply rooted since ancient times, and a sport called "B-Daman" has developed in which spheres are smashed into each other. The story begins when the protagonist, Owa Yamato, a boy with a passionate B-Daman spirit, appears before him and a boy named Gray appears in search of a B-Daman "Cobalt Blade". Yamato is the wielder of the "Cobalt Blade" chosen by B-Daman Demon, the god who governs B-Daman World. By getting his hands on a B-Daman, Yamato discovers the joy of battling and interacting with people, and enters a tournament in search of a strong B-Daman. He grows in both mind and skill as he battles members of the evil group "Shadow", who attack him one after another with cowardly tactics, and wins the tournament. However, when Shadow's leader, Madavi, powers up his organization to "Neo Shadow", and begins to collect the "B-Souls" of B-Daman by subjugating B-Damen from all over the country, Yamato's new battle begins. The story pursues the answers of what lies ahead for Yamato, who grows and develops true friendships, and what the future of B-Da World will be.

■ Main Characters

Owa Yamato is the protagonist of this work, a boy estimated to be 11 years old. He loves B-Daman more than anything and has a natural B-Daman sense. He is usually joking around, but when it comes to battle he becomes serious and fights at full power. He is a man of action, and his sincere attitude, which hates crooked things, is enough to make even his enemies sympathize with him. He grew up with a cat until he was 5 years old, and was raised by Mie in Kautoon, but the whereabouts of his real parents are unknown. His special moves, "Burning Magnum" and "Blazing Magnum," are so powerful that they can produce flames.

Gray Michael Vincent grew up with his twin sister, Riena, in the town of Winton. After Shadow took Riena hostage, he tried to steal the Cobalt Blade, but after coming into contact with Yamato's personality, he gradually awakened as a true Beader. After rescuing Riena from Shadow, he acts together with Yamato to fight against Neo Shadow. He always acts calmly, but his one flaw is that he loses his cool when it comes to his sister. He is known for his one-handed shooting, and his special move, "Super Fast Ten Consecutive Hits," hits the opponent with a series of Beyblade strikes at lightning speed.

Tsubame Tsubame travels around the country from Tsubakura Village in the country of Zipangu to train in Bee Battle, where he meets Yamato and they enter a tournament together. His use of language, such as "sessha" and "gojaru," is strangely old-fashioned. He has a very stoic personality, but his reactions are funny, so Yamato often teases him.

Bull Borgnine is usually absent-minded. He often falls asleep without realizing it and doesn't listen to what others say. Sometimes his personality changes drastically and he looks like a different person. His form changes in three stages: senile → cool → aggressive.

Enjo has natural abilities as a B-Daman, but he is the strongest B-Daman in the "Shadow" group, and enjoys the destructive power of B-Daman, even if it means using underhanded methods to win. In fact, his father made a living from "gambling B-Battles", and he came to hate B-Battles itself after being betrayed by his teammates in a tournament he participated in as a child.

■Subtitle

Each episode from episode 1 to episode 52 has a different subtitle. For example, episode 1 is "The Cobalt Blade Appears!", episode 2 is "Confrontation in the Valley of the Gale!", episode 3 is "His Name is Shadow!!", and so on. Each episode draws in viewers as they watch Yamato and his friends grow and fight new enemies.

■ Related works

A related work to "B-Daman" is "B-Daman: Flame Soul." This work is a sequel that depicts the new adventures of Yamato and his friends, and you can enjoy an even deeper story and character development.

■ Evaluation and recommendation

"B-Daman Legend! Battle B-Daman" is a story that depicts friendship and growth through the sport of B-Daman, and can be enjoyed by both children and adults. In particular, the development of the story is very fascinating, including the growth of the main character Yamato, the bonds with his friends, and the battles with enemies. In addition, the B-Daman sport itself is depicted realistically, drawing viewers in with its intensity.

The appeal of this work is the individuality and growth of the characters. Each character has their own story, such as Yamato's sincere attitude, Gray's growth, Tsubame's stoicism, Bull's eccentric personality, and Enju's darkness. Also, don't miss the world view that has been carefully crafted down to the smallest details, such as the setting of the B-Daman world and the rules of B-Daman.

Furthermore, the acting of the cast was also superb, especially Reiko Takagi as Yamato and Daisuke Kishio as Enjo, who expressed the emotions of their characters realistically. Music is also an important element that adds excitement to the story, and Takashi Fukiage's music makes you feel the passionate spirit of the B-D world.

The first point I want to recommend is that viewers should experience the appeal of the sport of B-Daman. B-Daman is not just a sport, it symbolizes friendship and growth, and the battle scenes are worth watching. The story of Yamato and his friends' growth and friendship is also moving, conveying many messages to the viewers. Furthermore, you can enjoy the worldview of the B-Daman world and the individuality of the characters, so please give it a watch.
