・Omochama is a talkative, dice-shaped mascot robot. He is clumsy and absent-minded, and once fell for a trap set by Doronbo, he reveals a secret, but he is a lovable character.

The mastermind who instructs Dokurobedoronbo to collect the Skull Rings. He calls himself the "God of Thieves," but his true identity is shrouded in mystery.

■ Main robot items

■ Mecha Yatterman
He is the main mecha of the Yatterman team that protects world peace together with No. 1 and No. 2! Gan-chan originally discovered the prototype of a robot that his father had left unfinished and was gathering dust in the garage, and using his talent for tinkering with machines, he completed it all by himself! In addition to being able to fire a Chinjara cannon from his nose and a water attack from the hose on his back, when he gets into a pinch he can eat the mecha seeds that Ai-chan gives him and create amazing mechas!
・Yatter Pelican This is the latest Yatter Mecha that the Yattermen, who got lost in the future world through the Time Tunnel, found by chance at the Yatterman base of the future and took home with them! Made with future technology, it is annoyingly high-performance, but sometimes it gets too cocky and makes mistakes, so you need to be careful!
The third Yatter Mecha, designed to make up for its weakness in underwater combat. It is modeled after the Anglerfish, but its personality is modeled after Gan-chan, and its appearance after Ai-chan, with her angry, puffy face.
・Yatter Jinbei A large whale shark-shaped transport mecha that Gan-chan built so that multiple Yatter Mechas can be deployed at the same time! He has a very emotional personality, and is moved to tears every time he visits a new place! At first glance, he looks big and strong, but because of his kind heart, he never engages in combat!
・Yatter Mole Following on from Yatterwan on land, Yatter Pelican in the sky, and Yatter Anglerfish in the sea, this is a mole-shaped Yatter Mecha that Gan-chan created to move around underground! A strange mecha that loves solitude, he has a habit of adding "It's XX, but what's the problem?" to the end of his sentences! By the way, his hobby is sunbathing!

Yatterman the Movie - Gekijouban Yatterman Review and Recommendation

"Yatterman the Movie" was released on August 22, 2009 as a movie version of the TV series "Yatterman" that aired in 2008. This work is one of the popular series of Tatsunoko Productions, and since the original media is an original anime, fans are looking forward to a new story development. Below, we will explain in detail the story, characters, mechanics, music, and overall evaluation of this work, and introduce the points that we recommend.

story

The story of "Yatterman the Movie" is set in Toytoy Kingdom, a land of toys. When Yatterman and the Doronbo gang arrive in this land, they get caught up in a plot by Minister Pa Zulu, who plans to take over the world using a space nail that can destroy the Earth. Yatterman struggles against a new enemy, Yatter Zero, but he and his friends stand up to protect the Earth.

While this story retains the essence of the TV series, it adds a sense of scale and tension that is unique to the movie version. In particular, the fantastical setting of Toyland provides visual enjoyment. In addition to the conflict between Yatterman and the Doronbo gang, the addition of battles with new enemies adds depth to the story.

character

The main characters from the TV series continue to appear in the Yatterman movie. Yatterman No. 1, Gan-chan, and Yatterman No. 2, Ai-chan, continue to charm viewers with their humor and courage. Gan-chan's talent for building machines and Ai-chan's knowledge of electrical systems contribute greatly to the progression of the story. Omochama's clumsy and absent-minded personality also adds to the laughs.

Meanwhile, Doronjo, Boyacky, and Tonzler, the Doronbo gang members, also play an active role as unique characters. Doronjo's obsession with beauty, Boyacky's genius at building machines, and Tonzler's gluttony and single-minded love for Ai-chan add color to the story. Furthermore, the presence of a new enemy, Minister Pa Zulu, creates new tension in the story.

Mechanic

In the movie Yatterman, the Yatter Mecha play a major role. In particular, Yatterwan is the iconic mecha of the series, and confronts enemies with a variety of attack methods, including the Chinjara Cannon and water attacks. In addition, mechas that can be used in various situations, such as the Yatter Pelican, Yatter Anglerfish, Yatter Jinbei, and Yatter Mole, appear, providing visual enjoyment.

Another noteworthy character is the new enemy mecha, Yatter Zero. As a powerful mecha comparable to Yatterwan, it torments the Yatterman gang. These mecha battles have the scale and intensity that only a movie version can offer, and are an element that draws viewers in.

music

The music in "Yatterman the Movie" is an important element in enhancing the atmosphere of the series. The opening theme, "Yatterman's Song," features Takamiman's impressive, powerful singing voice, which raises the tension of the viewers. The ending theme, "Smile Life," features Stereopony's refreshing melody, which leaves a lingering impression of the story.

The inserted songs "Yatter King" and "Tensai Doronbo" also liven up the story as it progresses. These songs stir the emotions of the viewer and increase their immersion in the story.

Overall rating

The Yatterman movie is enjoyable for fans of the TV series and new audiences alike. The story is large-scale, the characters are unique and appealing, the mechanics are full of visually pleasing elements, and the music plays an important role in elevating the story. These elements combine to earn the movie very high praise overall.

In particular, the story is richer in depth thanks to the addition of battles with new enemies, in addition to the conflict between Yatterman and the Doronbo gang. Also, the fantastical setting of Toyland provides visual enjoyment.
