AIka ZERO Season 3 Review: Beyond Expectations and Character Appeal

"AIka ZERO" Season 3 - A fascinating girls' school infiltration mission and Aika's new challenge

The third season of "AIka ZERO" was released as an OVA in 2009, and tells the story of the main character Sumeragi Aika once again. The series is set seven years before "AIKa" and three years after "AIKa R-16", and follows Aika as she embarks on a new adventure as a 19-year-old female college student. The director is Yamauchi Noriyasu, who has experience as a character designer in the previous series, and is now in charge of the entire series as director.

story

While attending the Faculty of Science and Engineering at a university, Aika helps Gozo Aida with his work as an apprentice salvager. Meanwhile, a series of disappearances occur at St. Aero Academy, and Aika is asked to investigate. She infiltrates the girls' school and struggles to uncover the truth behind the incidents. Watch out for the battle against the mysterious organization "White Knights" that awaits her at the academy, and the revelation of Aika's own secrets.

Commentary

"AIka ZERO" continues from the previous works "AIKa" and "AIKa R-16" and depicts Aika's growth and adventures. In particular, in this work, Aika is set to be 19 years old, and shows a more mature appearance. Director Noriyasu Yamauchi boasts that compared to the previous work, the number of panty shots is 150% and the erotic and intense hand-to-hand combat is 200%, so the visual appeal has also increased significantly. This is a long-awaited series for fans, and expectations are high for Aika's new challenge.

The main cast continues from the previous work, including Koshimizu Ami as Sumeragi Aika, Fukuen Misato as Makame Eri, and Noto Mamiko as Minamino Karen. Main Staff

Many staff members are involved in the production of AIka ZERO. The project was planned by Kawashiro Kazumi and Iizuka Tomohisa, the original story was written by Studio Fantasia and Bandai Visual, and the producers were Fujisawa Yoshihiko and Tsukino Masashi. Character design was by Yamauchi Noriyasu, mechanic design by Kawahara Tomohiro, and music by Kameyama Koichiro. Additionally, Kameyama Toshiki was the sound director and recording director, and music was produced by Columbia Music Entertainment. The game was produced by Studio Fantasia, with production by Bandai Visual.

Main Characters

Sumeragi Aika is the main character of this work, a 19-year-old female university student. She lost her parents in a major disaster when she was a child and was raised by Aida Gozo. She was trained as a salvager and qualified as a C-class salvager at the age of 16. Although she has an excellent mind and athletic ability, it seems that she is hiding a secret. This time, she is once again asked by Eri to solve the mystery of the disappearances at St. Aero Academy.

Karen Minamino is Aika and Eri's senior in high school and has no memories of her past. She learned that she was a clone during an adventure three years ago, and now calls herself "eternally 17 years old." She tells Eri about the incident that has been happening at St. Aero Academy, and spurs Aika and the others to fight against an unknown group.

Maki Eri is Aika's best friend and the daughter of the large company "Maki Heavy Industries". In high school, she served as class representative and reigned as a spoiled and curious young lady. Now she has grown into an adult who trades stocks, but her natural love of mysteries is still strong, and she calls Aika again.

Miyu Shiratori is the student council president of St. Aero Academy and is admired by all the students. She manipulates the "White Knights," which are made up of members of the student council, and continues to kidnap students for a certain purpose. Rin Shiragiku and Kana Shiraishi are members of the "White Knights," each with different personalities and abilities.

Gozo Aida is Aika's adoptive father, and was once an industrial spy. After the great disaster, he turned into a Salvager and founded KK Corporation. He has raised Aika to this day, teaching her the skills of a Salvager. Risako Nagisa was formerly the advisor of the Treasure Hunting Club, and now serves as Karen's caretaker and bodyguard. ETAI is a mysterious figure who manipulates the White Knights from behind the scenes, and is interested in Aika.
