■ Story

Two opposites meet.
Lina Lute, the possessor of the "copying eye," is cursed and hated, and has lost the meaning of life.
Although he was of royal blood, Sion Astal was despised because his mother was a commoner.
The two met and shared a desire to change this corrupt country.
After the revolution, Sion ascended to the throne as King of the Roland Empire, and ordered Lina to search for the key item, the "Hero's Relic," based on the report Lina had written in prison. He had Ferris Eris, daughter of the Eris family, a clan of swordsmen, accompany him as a chaperone.

Lina, who is extremely lazy and perpetually lethargic, and Ferris, who is extremely beautiful and arrogant, and a dango supremacist, are two people who seem to be a bad match from every angle, but during their journey across countries searching for the ``Hero's Relic,'' they gradually come to recognize each other as irreplaceable companions.
Sion, who is watching over the two of them in the Roland Empire, is also struggling as king with the internal conflicts that remain with the nobles and the premonition of conflict with other countries.
But gradually, their feelings begin to drift apart.
Will Lina and her friends be able to create the world they once dreamed of, "a world where everyone can just laugh and take naps"...?

■Explanation

A magnificent anti-heroic fantasy about a sinister, wicked king, a violent, cold-blooded woman, and a listless man who likes to nap.

■ Main Characters

Raina Lute is a perpetually sleepy, unmotivated man. He possesses the "Alpha Stigma", a type of mystic eye that is hated by people, but due to the uniqueness of his eyes and his extraordinary abilities in magic and martial arts, he is a powerful man who has made a name for himself as "Roland's strongest magician". After that, he was ordered by his friend Sion, who became King of Roland, to search for the "Hero's Relic", and he continues his journey of search with Ferris, who acts as his supervisor and partner.
A beautiful, arrogant blonde with blue eyes who accompanies Lina on her journey to find the "Hero's Relic" as her companion by order of Ferris Elysion. She is also the daughter of the Elys family, famous for being the "sword family" that has served as the guard for the kings of the Roland Empire for generations. She wields a long sword with agility unimaginable from her delicate build, and shows extraordinary strength in both swordsmanship and martial arts. She is usually expressionless and rarely shows her emotions, but she will do anything for Dango.
Sion Astal: The son of the former King of Roland and a commoner. He was despised by his aristocratic brothers-in-law and even had his life threatened, but he refused to give in to his circumstances and started a revolution, becoming King of the Roland Empire. He was extremely popular among the people as a "Hero King" who possessed everything from ability to looks to charisma. Impressed by a report written by his best friend, Raina, he ordered Raina and Ferris to search for the "Hero's Relic" as a top-secret mission.
Lucille Eris The current head of the Eris family, the "Sword Clan" that has served as the guardian of King Roland for generations. She has otherworldly beauty and superhuman fighting abilities. Even when she is serving at Sion's side, she often completely disappears. She is a mysterious character.
Iris Eris The youngest child of the Eris family, she is a cheerful and expressive beautiful girl. She is attached to Ferris and naively believes in the wrong teachings that Ferris has instilled in her. She is currently in charge of communicating and reporting between Lina and Shion.
Milk Collard: Captain of the Pursuit Squad of the "Treason Breakers". Born in the same orphanage as Lina. A promise he made with Lina to "survive no matter what" has been a source of comfort to him. In order to rescue Lina, he is pursuing Lina and her friends as a "Treason Breaker".
Milan Froward: Having judged Sion worthy of being his king, he volunteered to be the shadow bearer of Sion's path to domination. He possesses the "Ring of Black Wisdom" that allows him to freely control the shadow beasts, and with that power, he acts on his own initiative in the name of Roland and Sion.
Luke Stackart is a subordinate of Milk and belongs to the "Breaking the Curse" pursuit force. His rank is Sergeant. He always has a gentle smile on his face, and as a guardian of Milk, he watches over her and tends to spoil her. He has received secret orders from Shion.
A subordinate of Liele Wrinklemilk, she is a member of the "Breaking the Curse" pursuit force. She holds the rank of corporal. She remains calm in any situation and excels at gathering and manipulating information. Even within the unit, she is primarily in charge of gathering information.
Rachel Miller is the chief executive officer of the Taboo Breaker pursuit force. It would not be unnatural for him to be a marshal, but he continues to refuse promotion because he believes the role of the Taboo Breaker pursuit force is important and wants to see things from a lower-level perspective.
Klau Chrome: He has been Sion's direct subordinate since before he became king, and is one of the few friends he can talk to on an equal footing. He is Sion's closest aide and also serves as his bodyguard, and is essentially the head of the Roland Imperial Army. He is also nicknamed "Klau the Red Finger" for his actions during the revolution.
Carne Kaiwel is a young man with a delicate appearance like a boy. Like Crow, he is a trusted subordinate who has supported Sion since the revolution. He and Crow grew up in the same orphanage and are his juniors. He is currently Sion's left hand man, in charge of domestic affairs in the Roland Empire.
Kifa Norz: A classmate of Ryner and Sion at the Roland Empire Royal Special Academy. She is intelligent and beautiful, and has a personality that everyone likes, making her an idol at the academy. For some reason, she likes Ryner, and cares about him, even though he was a perennial underachiever.

Legend of the Legendary Heroes - Reviews and Recommendations

"The Legend of the Legendary Heroes" is a TV anime series that aired in 2010 and is based on a light novel by Takaya Kagami. The story is a mix of fantasy, action, and deep human drama, and has a charm that draws viewers in. Below, we will explain in detail the appeal and features of this work, as well as the recommended points.

The appeal of the story

The story of "The Legend of the Legendary Heroes" revolves around two main characters: Raina Lute, who has cursed eyes, and Sion Astal, who is of royal blood. Though both of them are burdened with the suffering that comes from their respective circumstances, they rise up to change the corrupt Roland Empire. After Sion starts a revolution and takes the throne, Raina sets out on a journey to find the "Hero's Relic." During this journey, we see the relationship between Raina and his partner Ferris Eris deepen.

The appeal of the story lies in the growth and change of the main characters. Raina starts out as a listless character who likes to take naps, but through her journey she deepens her bonds with her companions and finds her own meaning in life. Meanwhile, Theon endures the pressures of ruling a country as king, but also strives to realize his ideal world. The growth of these characters deeply moves the viewer.

Character Appeal

Each character in this work is unique and leaves a strong impression on the viewer. Raina Lute in particular has a special ability called the Copy Eye, but is also charming with his lethargic personality and love of napping. His growth and change evokes empathy from the viewer. Ferris Ellis has a beautiful appearance and powerful swordsmanship, but also has a humorous side as he has a weakness for dumplings. Her character provides laughs to the viewer while also eliciting deep emotions through his relationship with Raina.

Sion Astal is depicted as pursuing his responsibilities and ideals as a king. His suffering and determination move the viewer. The other supporting characters also have their own backgrounds and goals, enriching the story. For example, Milk Collard comes from the same orphanage as Raina, and her struggle to save him is moving.

Visuals and Music

The visuals in The Legend of the Legendary Heroes beautifully depict the fantasy world. The character designs are by Noriko Shimazawa, and each character's personality is well-expressed. The set design and art direction are also excellent, making this a visually enjoyable production.

The music also adds to the appeal of this work. The opening themes "LAMENT ~Yagate Joy~" and "Last Inferno" and the ending themes "Truth Of My Destiny" and "Hikari no Fillment" are important elements that enhance the atmosphere of the story. Ceui's singing voice in particular resonates in the hearts of viewers. The insert song "Energy" is also impressive, and adds excitement to the climax of the story.

Recommended points

"Legend of the Legendary Heroes" is recommended for those who want to enjoy fantasy, action, and deep human drama. In particular, it is a perfect work for those who want to be moved by the growth and change of characters, and those who want to enjoy beautiful visuals and music. In addition, the story depicting complex human relationships and political maneuvering is also one of the attractions, so it is also recommended for those who want to enjoy such elements.

Furthermore, since this work is based on a light novel, fans of the original work will be satisfied with the content. While firmly incorporating the essence of the original, the anime also adds its own interpretation and direction, so even fans of the original work will be able to discover something new.

Overall, The Legend of the Legendary Heroes is a great piece that combines a deep storyline, fascinating characters, beautiful visuals and music. I recommend it to anyone who loves fantasy anime.
