"The Unrivaled God-Armored Dragon": The adventures of a boy with the ultimate power and his friends

"Saijaku Muhai no Kamisoukiryu" (The Unrivaled God-Armored Dragon) is a TV anime series based on the light novel by Akizuki Senri. It aired for a total of 12 episodes on TOKYO MX and AT-X from January 11 to March 28, 2016. Animation was handled by Lerche and the director was Ando Masaomi. The story follows the protagonist Lu, who encounters the God-Armored Dragon, a dragon with the ultimate power, and goes on an adventure with his friends.

story

The setting of "Saijaku Muhai no Bahamut" is the other world "Avalon." In this world, there are beings called "Machinaries" with special powers, and people live by controlling them. The protagonist, Lou Fermi, lost his parents at a young age and grew up in an orphanage. He had only the weakest powers, and was looked down upon by those around him. However, one day, Lou meets the strongest Machinary, known as a "Bahamut". This encounter will greatly change his fate.

With the help of the Divine Dragon, Lu and his friends overcome various challenges. His companions include his childhood friend Leon and Elena, who controls a powerful Machinery. They work together to fight to protect world peace. The story depicts the growth and friendship of Lu and his friends, as well as the difficulties they face.

character

Lou Fermi: The protagonist. He lost his parents at a young age and grew up in an orphanage. He has such limited power that he is called the "weakest," but he meets the God-Armored Dragon and begins his adventure with its power. He is kind-hearted and caring towards his friends.

Lion: Lu's childhood friend. He supports Lu and continues his adventures with her. He has a bright and positive personality, and is Lu's emotional support.

Elena: A girl who controls powerful Mechanaries. She has a cool and calm personality, but gradually opens up as she fights alongside Lu and the others.

God-Armored Dragon: The strongest Machinary that Luu has ever encountered. He draws out Luu's power and is his partner in battle. His true identity and abilities will be revealed as the story progresses.

Animation and Music

The animation for "Muhai: The Last Samurai" was handled by Lerche. The character designs faithfully reproduce the image of the original work while bringing out the unique charm of the anime. The battle scenes are particularly impressive, and the moment when the power of the Samurai Samurai is unleashed is visually very impactful. The depiction of the background and world view is also detailed, allowing you to feel the atmosphere of the other world "Avalon".

The music used is the opening theme "Saijaku Muhai no Shinsou Kiryuu" and the ending theme "Mirai e no Wings". The opening theme is a powerful song that symbolizes the growth and adventures of the main character, Lou, and draws the audience in. Meanwhile, the ending theme features a gentle melody that evokes the bond between friends and hope. These pieces of music enhance the audience's emotions as the story progresses.

Evaluation and Impressions

"Muhai no Saijaku: Unbeaten" is a touching story about the growth and friendship of the main character, Lou. In particular, the process of Lou's transformation from "weakest" to "unbeaten" is deeply moving to the viewer. Also, at the heart of the story is the bond and cooperation between friends, and it is also appealing that these bonds become the strength to overcome trials.

The animation is of high quality, and the depictions of the battle scenes and backgrounds are beautiful, making it a visual treat. The music is also an important element in adding excitement to the story, and the opening and ending songs are sure to leave a lasting impression on viewers.

However, with only 12 episodes in total, the story development can sometimes feel a bit rushed. By reading the original light novel, you can gain a deeper understanding of the characters' backgrounds and the worldview. Also, if there are sequels or related works, you may be able to enjoy Lu and friends' adventures even more.
