review

"BAKUMATSU Crisis: Love Bakumatsu Boyfriend Gaiden" is an appealing work with a unique worldview that combines history and fantasy. Set in the turbulent era of the end of the Edo period, the story depicts a battle over the "Time Clock," a treasure that transcends time and space. The story is fast-paced, with new developments awaiting in each episode. In particular, the friendship and conflict between Takasugi Shinsaku and Katsura Kogoro is depicted in depth, moving viewers to the heart. It is also interesting to note that historical figures such as the Shinsengumi and Tokugawa Yoshinobu are featured in a modern arrangement.

The characters are all very unique, and each adds depth to the story. Takasugi's recklessness, Katsura's coolness, and Sakamoto Ryoma's nonchalant attitude - each character's charm is outstanding. The voice actors' performances are also excellent, and they express the characters' emotions realistically. In particular, Nakamura Yuichi's role as Takasugi Shinsaku and Eguchi Takuya's role as Katsura Kogoro leave a strong impression on viewers.

Visually, Studio Deen's beautiful animation also stands out. The color design and art direction are impressive, and the scenery of Kyoto at the end of the Edo period is realistically recreated. Fantasy elements such as the time clock and Susanoo are also visually enjoyable. Music is also an important element in adding excitement to the story, and the background music by Kawasaki Ryu and Sakabe Tsuyoshi enhances the tension and emotion of the story.

Overall, "BAKUMATSU Crisis: Love Bakumatsu Boyfriend Gaiden" is an exciting work where history and fantasy intersect. It is especially recommended for viewers who like history and fantasy. In addition, the charm of the characters and the development of the story are also points not to be missed. Please give it a watch.
