The story begins when the protagonist, a beautiful high school girl named Kirie Goto, and her boyfriend, Shuichi Saito, return to the town of Kurozu from the school in the neighboring town. The animation of "Uzumaki" is directed by Hiroshi Nagahama ("Mushi-shi") and produced by Production IG, which has produced "Ghost in the Shell" and "Psycho-Pass". It is scheduled to be broadcast on Toonami in October 2022.
