The International Seaway Organization officially recognizes Godzilla's new seabed landforms

In 2022, Japan requested the International Seaway Organization (IHO) to review a new underwater landform that resembled the classic monster Godzilla. Today, according to foreign media reports on February 14, the review was passed, officially recognizing Godzilla's new underwater landform.

Godzilla Megamullion Province is a type of fault-staggered landform created by large-scale changes in the seabed topography. The Japanese government discovered it as early as 2001 when surveying the continental shelf. It resembles the uneven terrain of a field. Moreover, the area of ​​Godzilla Megamullion Province is very large, 125 kilometers long and 55 kilometers wide, with a height difference of 4 kilometers between the highest point and the lowest point.
